Make sense of how your body responds — and know what to do next.
Why it matters
You can put in the same effort and get a completely different result. Maybe your breathing feels heavier, your recovery slows, or an easy session suddenly feels hard. Another technique is not always the answer. Foundations teaches you how to see what is changing, investigate why, and use the information to guide your next step.
What you'll work through
Across four recorded modules, you will explore the relationship between demand, capacity, and response. Learn to observe breathing at rest and in motion, practice repeatable breathing assessments, establish a resting baseline, and compare breathing, perceived effort, heart rate, and output through guided movement testing. Bring those observations together to identify where your attention belongs.
What you'll take away
Build a clearer picture of your own breathing response and a repeatable set of personal observations and assessments. Understand Gear 1 and learn how to use it to build your aerobic base—the capacity to sustain work and recover between efforts. You will have practical strategies for choosing a starting point, monitoring the response to training and recovery, and reassessing your progress over time.
